Michael Jackson lived at Neverland Ranch close to 20 years until he left the US in 2006. In 2008, it was about to go into foreclosure due to a default on a loan until a joint venture agreement was arranged with Colony Capital. Michael Jackson still retains an unknown stake in Neverland Ranch and any profits would now go to his estate.
There has been rumors that Michael Jackson could be buried there and it could be turned into something like Elvis Presley’s Graceland. The Jackson family as yet has not decided the final resting place for Michael Jackson and there has been no word on the future plans for Neverland Ranch.
Neverland Ranch was Michael Jackson’s vision and creation. The name Neverland was taken from the Peter Pan story about a fantasy wonderland where children never grow up. It is a beautiful and serene place with around 2700 acres. It used to host an amusement park, movie theater, train station, zoo and opened it gates to numerous groups of children and their families.
To this day Neverland Ranch is still associated with Michael Jackson. By turning it into a museum or park would allow fans around the world to visit and pay tribute to Michael Jackson.
